The College Proven Program offers a unique opportunity for juniors and seniors enrolled in Massachusetts high schools to earn college credit while gaining exposure to a more rigorous and engaging academic workload. This program provides students with an early glimpse of life after high school, preparing them for success in higher education and beyond.

COURSE OFFERING
Intro to Statistics with R
This is an introductory course in statistics. The objective of this course is to organize, summarize, interpret, and present data using graphical and tabular representations; apply principles of inferential statistics; and assess the validity of statistical conclusions. Students will learn to select and apply appropriate statistical tests and determine reasonable inferences and predictions from a set of data. Topics include descriptive statistics; introduction to probability; probability distributions including normal and t-distributions; confidence intervals; hypothesis testing; correlation and regression; two-way tables and chi-square test. Course uses R statistical software.
